For complex survey data analysis, the availability of an online application is very rare. With the advancement in web technology and availability of enhanced bandwidth these days, it is desirable to have the analysis of survey data on the web and to do the analysis at very low cost requirements. As far as the web-based application is concerned, it is based on the client-server architecture and requires only an internet browser to run. It is needed to install or deploy on one machine which is a web server. Being on web  would enhance the utility and widen the scope of the software to reach any corner of the globe.

SSDA 2.0 is a web based user friendly Software for Survey Data Analysis indigenously developed at IASRI. This software estimates the population parameters based on the sampling data collected using the important common sampling designs like simple random sampling – with or without replacement, systematic and probability proportional to size (PPS). SSDA has a module for imputation of missing values using mean, zero and mean of neighbouring units methods. It has a user friendly data management module for importing data from commonly used data file formats and usual editing options. SSDA 2.0 has been designed and developed to be used by survey statisticians or any other user for analysis of survey data.

SSDA2.0 has been developed using ASP.NET (C#) under .NET environment. Cascading Style Sheets have been used for proper design of the web pages. An easy to use, extendable objected oriented C# library has been developed for the analysis of survey data for standard procedures of the estimation of parameters for various sampling designs. This library is available in the form of dynamic link libraries (.dll) and can be called by adding their reference in the software project. SSDA2.0 provides commonly used methods for imputing the missing observations in the input data. The results of the schemes have been presented in the form of crystal reports available under Visual Studio (IDE). Generated reports can be imported into various common file formats like MS-Word, MS-Excel and pdf. The important modules of the software include data management, imputation module, data analysis, report and HTML help.
